Description
Steel point for carbon shafts like Avatar or similar with adjustable weight. The point, in FIELD shape, has a special ring that covers approximately 1.5mm of the outside of the carbon shaft to prevent the typical “explosion” of carbon fibers when hitting something too hard.
Available sizes:
BR 1.5 -18 for Avatar shafts 5.2mm from 800 to 400 with weight 60-70-80-90-100-110
BR 2.5 -49 for Predator shafts 2040 and 3050 with weight 80-90-100
BR 3 -60 for Light Speed 500 shafts 6.2mm with weight 80-90 or 100-110, these have a ogive tip
TIPS: To make the point even more protective for the shaft during violent impacts, you can glue the points with two-component epoxy resin. However, keep in mind that it will be much harder to recover the points from broken arrows.
MY IMPRESSIONS: This protective “cap” certainly does its job and makes the arrow a bit more resistant, but don’t think it’s indestructible…
