Description
DESCRIPTION
Double-blade hunting point with an aluminum alloy body and a removable steel blade. 100 grain weight.
SUGGESTIONS
If used in competitions that require it (such as Roving), I recommend removing the cutting edge — completely unnecessary in competition — with a file or grinder, to avoid injury or damaging the quiver. For actual hunting use, the blade is already sharp enough, but for experienced hunters sharpening is never quite enough and can be refined with the proper tools. In any case, I recommend mounting it perpendicular to the string for the best flight, and using larger fletchings on arrows fitted with this point. On -18 size carbon shafts (such as Predator, Avatar 700 and 800 and similar), it can be glued directly inside the shaft without any threaded insert; to remove and replace it quickly, use the appropriate threaded inserts instead.
MY IMPRESSIONS
A sturdy enough blade for repeated use in competitions, and made of good steel for hunting-grade sharpening.
