Description
20mm long carbon insert to be glued in place of the nock in carbon shafts with an internal diameter of 5.2mm -18 (such as Avatar or similar). Inside it, a regular UNI nock can be installed.
The weight of this insert plus the UNI nock is slightly lower than that of the insert with the original PIN nock.
TIPS: If you haven’t cut the shaft yet, it is better to first cut at least 30mm from the tail and then cut the tip to the necessary length. Glue the insert with hot glue, moderately heating both the shaft area and the insert. Apply just a bit of glue to the shaft and insert the Nock Protector by rotating it to spread the glue evenly. For better adhesion, I scratch the surface of the insert with coarse sandpaper in a circular motion around the surface.
MY IMPRESSIONS: With this system, the annoying phenomenon of cracks in the back of the arrow when hitting something hard is almost completely avoided. These cracks are also very dangerous because you might not notice them, and the arrow could “explode” on the next shot. I know I will regret this invention and attract the dislike of my colleagues, but it was “stronger than me”…
