DESCRIPTION
Steel point for UNI-type carbon shafts such as Ambition, Carbon One, X10 or similar, with splittable weight. The point, shaped like a ‘Giglio’ (lily), has a special ring that covers the outside of the carbon shaft for about 1.5mm, to prevent the typical ‘explosion’ of carbon fibers when hitting something too hard.

Suitable for Ambition shafts from 1800 to 800.

Since UNI-type shafts share the same internal diameter but vary in external diameter, these points fit any size, but the outer collar only fits sizes from 800 down (soft spines up to 1800).

SUGGESTIONS
They can also be installed on stiffer spines (with a larger outer diameter) only after lightly sanding the edge of the shaft with 150-200 grit sandpaper. If you want to make the point even more ‘protective’ for the shaft during hard impacts, you can glue it with two-part epoxy resin — remember, though, that it will be much harder to recover the points from broken arrows.

MY IMPRESSIONS
This protective ‘cap’ definitely does its job and makes the arrow a little more durable, but don’t think it’s indestructible… Given the low cost of these shafts, which already include a normal point in the price, it’s worth thinking twice before buying an extra point of this type (and at this price).
