The Picchio Testarossa CarbonWood recurve limbs are designed for archers who want the modern performance of carbon fiber combined with the natural look of a traditional bow.
On the structure of our carbon limbs we apply two thin 0.6 mm wood veneers, leaving the natural wood visible. The result is a limb with the appearance of traditional bows while maintaining the performance and light weight of carbon fiber.
The intentionally aggressive double‑radius curve allows the limb to work dynamically throughout the entire draw cycle. The result is a smooth and progressive draw, a natural anchor, and increased arrow speed.
The internal structure is made of a tapered bamboo core, combined with two carbon laminations produced to our own design. Carbon keeps the limb light, increases torsional rigidity, and improves recovery speed after the shot.
Near the riser attachment we insert an amaranth wedge to reinforce the most stressed area. The tips are made of horn and reinforced with a layer of carbon, keeping the limb ends light while increasing mechanical strength in the areas subjected to the highest stress.
Compared to traditional fiberglass limbs, this solution offers several advantages:

Every element is designed to achieve the best balance between speed, stability and elegance.
We produce multiple pairs of limbs in the same production cycle so that they can be carefully selected and matched for weight and draw weight, ensuring that each pair works in perfect balance.
The limb-to-riser connection uses a proprietary standard system for all of our Testarossa Bows that ensures full interchangeability between components. This allows the limbs to be replaced or upgraded at any time without the need of sending us the riser to fit them.
Available lengths:
– SHORT 58″/60″ makes a 58″ bow on the 430 Riser and a 60″ bow on the 500 Riser, recommended for AMO draw lengths up to 27.5″.
– MEDIUM 60″/62″ makes a 60″ bow on the 430 Riser and a 62″ bow on the 500 Riser, the 60″ is ideal for AMO draw lengths up to 28.5″, and the 62″ up to 29.5″.
– LONG 64″ for use on the 500 Riser with draw lengths over 30″.
Each pair of limbs includes an 8125 string with nocking point and silencers already installed.
