The overall aesthetic line of the riser comes from the Picchio model that I sold for more than 25 years. It is the result of the work of a professional designer. It has been revised and refined for greater elegance in this new bow.
Aside from the visual inspiration the new bow is completely different in structure, materials, and construction techniques. The limbs are built from a carbon and bamboo sandwich. The bamboo “actionwood” is tapered by me with a particularly aggressive thickness reduction of .0035. The carbon laminations are produced according to my own design, specifically for this limb. Carbon fiber offers superior performance compared to fiberglass, in terms of lightness, stability and especially in torsional strength.
The limbs can be made of carbon fiber or covered with natural wood in an exclusive solution that, in addition to its unique aesthetics, further reduces vibrations while maintaining high arrow speed.
The tips, featuring an original design, are extremely strong and lightweight, contributing to higher arrow speed and reduced vibrations. Two carbon reinforcements beneath the natural horn of the tips allow the use of any type of string and any arrow weight.
The limb to riser connection is standardized to allow full interchangeability between any riser and any pair of limbs. This represents a great advantage for the customer who will always be able to change limbs and risers, including future versions. The limb bases features 6 mm bolts without washers to enhance elegance. Of course, washers can be used if preferred.
The riser is composed of two pieces of customizable solid premium wood. It is stabilized by the insertion of internal weights of up to 1 kg at the ends, balancing its mass and providing outstanding shooting stability. This stabilizing effect is very different from simply having a heavier riser, as the weights are positioned where they achieve the greatest effect. Nothing is visible from the outside, whether the riser is assembled or disassembled.
The shelf base under the arrow pad is shaped to ensure perfect arrow clearance and allows for a cleaner flight than any rest. The grip is very comfortable and slim between the fingers and can be customized between different shapes and angles. The riser wood is “stabilized” and impregnated with epoxy resin to make it as durable as possible. The riser is finished with six coats of two-component satin urethane varnish.
Let it choose you…
